However, you may still have some pending questions. Well, it’s time to learn how to get the best answers for your needs.
Prior to making your purchase, you’ll find a GUIDE and a CHECKLIST below, regarding characteristics of Rubber Mulch, and how to get more bang for your buck.
Requirements For Project-
You’ll need to ask yourself; will this be for Playground or Landscape? If for Playground, will this be for outdoor or indoor use? What are the dimensions/measurements? This will help you with not over ordering and then you’re stuck deciding what to do with the remainder of the product. For Playground use, we have what is called a fall safety height ratio, which means for every inch of Rubber Mulch, this equals 2 feet of fall safety. If your Children are toddler age or younger, what’s recommended is 3 inches in depth and if they’re older, we recommend 4 inches in depth for Playground residential use. What color do I prefer? If it’s for Landscape, will this be placed around Trees, Bushes, Poolside, Deck, etc..? For Landscape use, the recommendation is 2 inches in depth. What’s my Budget? It’s important to know your budget going into this. Rubber Mulch hasn’t been known to be inexpensive, however, you’ll make up for it by not having to replace it year after year!
Cost & Additional Questions-
Rubber Mulch is typically more expensive than traditional material. As previously mentioned, Rubber Mulch isn’t the least expensive way to go, however, it’s the best way to make the transition, this way your home or community can look AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
I would recommend doing a comparative investigation from one company to the next, to make sure you are comparing Apples to Apples. For example, if you happen to check out your local Hardware Stores like, Home Depot or Lowes among other shops, you may find that their volume in bags may be less than the competition. What is the volume in each bag? How many bags on a pallet? Determine if you need Bags or Super Sack (which is a large, oversized heavy duty plastic bag, equivalent to the 50 bags that comes on a pallet and weighs close to 2000 lbs.). Where is it manufactured? Is it manufactured in the USA or Abroad. Does the Rubber Mulch hold moisture? Does it come with a Manufacturer’s Warranty? If a warranty is provide, this proves confidence in the company’s material, that it’s permeable, mighty, and passed high safety standards. In addition, it ensures that the Rubber Mulch won’t, warp, get brittle, fade, or lose its appeal in a short time. Is it IPEMA Certified for safety?

In addition, if you’re quoted by other companies, make sure that you ask, does the price include sales tax? It makes comparing apples to apples challenging and we’re here to help make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Looking Good!
So now you’ve come to the point where you’re trying to decide what color would be the right color for you and your project? Many customers suit their personality first and then their considered space. If the customer is undecided on color, I always recommend by asking, what color is their home? What color is their Play Set? RMP USA carries Green, Blue, Red, Black, Brown, and Unpainted. The Unpainted looks like a used car tire. Sometimes I may even suggest contrasting colors. Say for instance, you’re trying to landscape around your home and your home has a dark maroon roof with white siding, a good contrasting color would be Black Rubber Mulch. Some may be brazened enough to choose Blue or Green. Some people prefer Green outdoor Rubber Mulch to match the shrubbery and foliage, while others prefer contrasting and using bright colors like Red to highlight their area. It’s up to you. At the end of the day, you’re the one living there, it should be enjoyable to you!
Durability-
Rubber Mulch durability can be up to twelve times greater than wood mulch, due to wood deteriorating over time. Wood mulch lasts an average of three seasons at the most and costs will add up!
